SouthPeak Games and Playstos Entertainment’s Iridium Runners, which is due to be released February 2008 for the Playstation 2, will deliver players into the year 2050 and into a world where the world of professional racing has shifted from the sound of screeching tires to the sounds of hard running. Iridium Runners will gives players to take twenty different characters, each with one of eight different sidekicks, through thirty different racetracks which their own difficulties and obstacles to bypass. The game also features three different modes of play-Single Race, Cup, and Championship, which support both single player and multiplayer modes. The multiplayer modes developed from Iridium Runners can support a grand total of four players. During each race players can obtain upgrades for their characters that augment each character’s abilities or allow the player to attack other racers. As players progress through the game new characters, outfits, courses, music files, and artwork can be unlocked.
